How do you request a repair quote?
Select Get a quote, enter your contact details and describe the appliance and fault in the message. The form sends an enquiry for a response; it does not take payment, approve repair work or reserve an appointment. The following sections explain what to include and which terms to confirm before a visit.
Provide the model, fault and location
Have the appliance type, brand and model if known, symptom and any error ready. Add postcode, a suitable contact route and relevant access restrictions when you contact a provider. Avoid unnecessary personal information, alarm codes or payment details in an initial fault report.

When is the repair appointment confirmed?
Treat a visit as booked only when the provider explicitly agrees the appointment and service details with you. Sending the form is the first contact, not confirmation of attendance. Confirm coverage, appliance support and timing before taking time off or arranging property access around a visit.
Check charges, approval and preparation
Ask about assessment charges, quotation, payment and cancellation terms before committing. Confirm who can approve additional work and whether the proposed access arrangement is accepted. For a managed property, identify the responsible customer separately from the on-site contact.
Explain urgent faults and missing details
Explain any serious disruption and use the urgent guide for the safety boundary. A missing model number need not prevent a plain description of the fault; do not move or dismantle equipment to find it. Immediate danger belongs with appropriate emergency assistance.
Common questions
Does sending an enquiry confirm an appointment?
No. A successful submission confirms the message was sent, not that a repair slot is reserved. Wait for a separate appointment agreement.
Can I enquire without the model number?
Yes. Start with the appliance type, brand if known and symptom. You can supply the model later from an accessible label or existing record.
When will charges and any repair approval requirements be explained?
Confirm them before agreeing to assessment. If the initial reply omits charges or extra-work approval, ask for those details before accepting a visit.
What if I am arranging the visit for a tenant?
Identify who pays, who approves work and who provides access. Ask for confirmation before passing a proposed appointment to the tenant as a firm booking.
